West Jersey Chapter’s September membership meeting was held on Monday, September 25, 2023, at the Audubon Senior Center, and was broadcast live via Zoom. During the business meeting, President Dave Homer presented a plaque to Bill Sweeney for his years of service to West Jersey Chapter as Treasurer. Following the break, brothers Dr. William E. Watson, Professor of History at Immaculata College, and the Rev. Dr. J. Francis Watson presented a program on the Duffy’s Cut Project, an investigation into what became of 57 immigrant Irish laborers who perished during the construction of the Philadelphia & Columbia Railroad near Malvern, Pa., in 1832.
