West Jersey Chapter held its September membership meeting at the Audubon Senior Center and virtually via Zoom on Monday, September 28, 2026. WJC Vice President Fred Ciocciola shows the best shots from his decades of watching trains and trolleys in the Philly area. The video starts in the nation’s bicentennial year, when Conrail was brand new and Amtrak was starting to establish its own identity and paint schemes. We get to see old railroad traditions like circuses and the annual Army-Navy Game. Also we can witness evolutions such as GG1s giving way to AEM7s, and rounded PCC trolleys yielding to square-jawed Kawasaki units.
