On Saturday, November 8, West Jersey Chapter members toured the remains of the World War I ordnance manufacturing facility at Belcoville, south of Mays Landing. “Belco” is an acronym for Bethlehem Loading Company. The facility was constructed in 1918, and was about 70 percent complete when the war ended in November, 1918. The plant had 24 miles of railroad track.
